SOPHOMORE (2012): Pitched in 16 games with 14 starts and posted a record of 3-4 and a 4.89 ERA … worked 77.1 innings, the second most on the team, and struck out 51 while walking 33 … threw six innings of two-hit, shutout ball in a 2-0 win over Davidson (5/6) … allowed four hits and no runs with five strikeouts in a 3-2 win over Delaware (2/26) … picked up a victory in relief against North Florida (5/2) when he gave up two hits and no runs in two innings … fanned a season-high eight in six innings in a no-decision against Western Carolina (3/11).
FRESHMAN (2011): Made a total of 25 appearances with three starts and had a record of 1-4 with an ERA of 5.36 … struck out 24 batters in 43.2 innings … made his first career start a memorable one against third-ranked South Carolina (4/12) … pitched scoreless ball into the ninth, allowing eight hits and striking out three in a 2-0 victory for The Citadel’s first shutout of the Gamecocks since 1971 … that performance earned him Southern Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week and CB360 Primetime National Pitcher of the Week honors … did not allow a run in 11 appearances, including a streak of eight straight from 2/27 to 3/23 … struck out at least one batter in 16 games.
