SOPHOMORE (2014): Worked in five games out of the bullpen, earning one win and posting an ERA of 2.70 in 6.2 innings … allowed seven hits and two runs (both earned) with seven strikeouts … picked up the win against UNCG (5/17) with 3.1 innings of two-hit shutout relief with a pair of punch outs … struck out two in 0.2 innings against Toledo (3/5) and two in a perfect inning against Elon (3/30).

FRESHMAN (2013): Appeared in three games in relief and was 0-1 in 2.2 innings, allowing eight hits and four runs (all earned) with one strikeouts … made his college debut against Akron (3/12) and went two shutout innings with a strikeout … also pitched in relief against College of Charleston (3/20) and Coastal Carolina (4/3).

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Mauldin High School … four-year letterman in baseball and also played one season on the football team … was named to the All-Palmetto Games first team his junior year … member of district championship team his senior season … rated the No. 14 right hander in South Carolina by The Diamond Prospects … member of all-academic team in 2011 … played on the Diamond Devils U-18 CABA World Series national championship team.

PERSONAL: Layton James Meacham ... born Oct. 9, 1993 ... son of Keith and Diane Meacham … one of a set of triplets … majoring in biology.
