The Citadel Announces Complete 2026-27 Basketball Schedule

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel basketball program announced the team's complete 2026-27 schedule Monday, unveiling the Bulldogs' non-conference slate and finalizing the schedule for the upcoming season.
"We're excited about the schedule we've put together and the opportunities it gives our team," head coach Ed Conroy said. "We'll be challenged on the road, have some great games in front of our fans at McAlister and see a variety of styles that should help prepare us for Southern Conference play. We're looking forward to getting started."
The schedule features a competitive non-conference lineup, 20 Southern Conference contests and a strong mix of home and road games. The Bulldogs will make non-conference trips to Loyola Chicago, North Florida, Clemson, High Point, Charleston Southern, Georgia Tech and North Carolina.
The Citadel opens the regular season Nov. 2 at Loyola Chicago, giving Chicago natives Keynan Davis, Marcos Gonzales and Conroy an opportunity to begin the season in their hometown.
The Bulldogs hit the road for consecutive games at North Florida on Nov. 14 and Clemson on Nov. 16 before returning home to face South Carolina State on Nov. 20. The Citadel remains at McAlister Field House for a Nov. 25 matchup against USC Upstate before closing Feast Week on the road at High Point on Nov. 28.
December opens with a Lowcountry matchup at Charleston Southern on Dec. 1 followed by the start of Southern Conference play at Western Carolina on Dec. 5. The Bulldogs step back out of league action Dec. 9 with a trip to Georgia Tech, putting Atlanta native Chase Cormier back in familiar territory.
The Citadel returns home to host Toccoa Falls on Dec. 16 and Tennessee Tech on Dec. 19 before wrapping up its non-conference schedule Dec. 21 at North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Southern Conference play resumes Dec. 30 at UNCG before the Bulldogs welcome Chattanooga to McAlister Field House for their SoCon home opener Jan. 2. Wofford follows on Jan. 6 before The Citadel heads to Samford on Jan. 9.
The January home slate also features Furman on Jan. 13, ETSU on Jan. 18 and Samford on Jan. 23. Road trips to VMI, Wofford, Furman and Mercer round out the month.
February begins with UNCG visiting McAlister Field House on Feb. 3. The Bulldogs will also host Western Carolina on Feb. 10 and VMI on Feb. 20 while traveling to Tennessee Tech, Chattanooga and ETSU. The regular season concludes Feb. 27 when Mercer visits McAlister Field House.
The 2027 Southern Conference Basketball Championship is scheduled for March 4-8 at Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, N.C.
Before the regular season begins, The Citadel will face College of Charleston on Sept. 27 as part of the LinkU Invitational at Credit One Stadium in Charleston, S.C.
Season tickets for the 2026-27 season are on sale now, with packages starting at $100. Limited seat options remain. Current season ticket holders will have their 2025-26 seats held through the Oct. 15 renewal deadline.
