Citadel Volleyball Impacts Local Charleston Youth
Charleston, S.C.— In the weeks prior to preparing for their final exams and completing their off-season conditioning programs for the 2012 season, members of The Citadel volleyball team visited with Charleston-area youth at Ashley River Creative Arts Elementary School as well as those at MUSC's Child Life Department.
In early April, Bulldogs Head Coach Amir Khaledi and his team spent over two hours reading to the fifth grade class at Ashley River.
Most recently, the Cadets conducted a meet-and-greet with children who are part of MUSC's Child Life Department. Under the supervision of Child Life Department Manager Sandra Oberman and Child Life Specialist/Atrium Coordinator Lacey McInish, members of volleyball team played games, signed autographs and spent time with children present.
The MUSC Children's Hospital is dedicated to enhancing the health of children throughout South Carolina and to provide an environment that supports excellence in pediatric patient care, teaching and research.
