For the Record…

Through just eleven games, Anastasia Mesa has already passed the program's record for assists in a season with six. The mark leaves her tied for first in the conference and 61st in the nation.

Aponte's assist in last Sunday's game against UNC Greensboro was her third of the season and 11th of her career. The assist moved her into sole possession of first place in Citadel history. The junior captain broke the school's shots record a week ago and is now chasing the record for career shots on goal and points.

Jannel Johnson and Aponte are ranked second and third in the SoCon in shots with 40 and 37, respectively.

Mariana Garcia's historic season continued last weekend when she posted another goal to give her seven on the season and 24 for her career. The Bogota, Colombia, native is now four goals shy of tying Kelly Pesterfield for the school record.

Garcia is also just six points and 11 shots on goal shy of the school's career records. She currently stands second in the conference this season in goals and points and is ranked 54th in the nation in goals scored.

Goalkeeper Sarah Katchen continues to improve as the junior is currently ranked second in the conference and 52nd in the NCAA with 61 saves.
