Seven Bulldog Soccer Players Achieve Perfect GPAs for Spring Semester
The Citadel soccer team netted 26 goals on the field during the 2011 season but in the spring semester the Bulldogs achieved an impressive goal in the classroom as seven players posted perfect 4.0 GPAs and 16 recorded GPAs of 3.0 or higher. As a team, the Bulldogs posted a cumulative GPA of 3.54, tops among all athletic programs for the spring.

Bulldog Soccer Inks Seven For Upcoming 2012 Season
Citadel head soccer coach Bob Winch announced the addition of seven cadet-student-athletes who will join the Bulldogs’ soccer program for the 2012 season. The Class of 2016 includes representatives from Florida, Texas and South Carolina and garners The Citadel soccer team’s first player from England in its 11-year history.

Bulldogs Graduate 56 Cadet-Student-Athletes in 2012 Commencement Ceremonies
A total of 56 cadet-student-athletes representing 13 sports graduated in last Saturday’s commencement ceremonies at McAlister Fieldhouse. The 56 graduates obtained degrees in 13 different majors in diverse programs including engineering, sport management, business administration, biology and modern languages.

Shanna Couch is the first woman in Citadel history to be first honor graduate after maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA during her collegiate career.

Bulldog Soccer Takes Part in “Keep Charleston Beautiful” Program
The Bulldogs left the soccer pitch to “pitch in” and clean up trash at Hampton Park as part of “Keep Charleston Beautiful.” The program is designed to promote the cleanliness and beautification of the City of Charleston through education, public awareness and community involvement.

Athletic Trainer Steve Outlaw netted a last minute penalty kick goal for the Bulldog seniors and staff to give the veterans a 4-3 advantage over the underclassmen in the inaugural “Final Exam Game.”

Couch Honored with 2012 Southern Conference Presidential Award
Senior soccer defender Shanna Couch was selected for the 2012 Southern Conference Presidential scholarship on Monday. A five-person committee of SoCon administrators selected eight student-athletes out of a pool of 37 candidates based upon their accomplishments in academics, athletics and community service.

Bulldog Soccer Opens Spring Slate With a Pair of Home Matches
The Citadel women’s soccer team will be back in action this weekend as it hosts two spring games on Washington Light Infantry Field. The Bulldogs will take on USC-Aiken on Saturday at 11 a.m., before facing on the South Carolina Women’s League team on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Bulldog Soccer Releases 2012 Fall Schedule
The Citadel women’s soccer team released its schedule for the 2012 season on Tuesday. The Bulldogs, who finished 5-11-3 overall and 3-6-2 in the conference a year ago, will host seven games on Washington Light Infantry Field, including five Southern Conference matches.
