Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team will wrap up its 2012-13 home schedule on Sunday against Southern Conference foe Gardner-Webb in McAlister Field House for a 1 p.m. scuffle. The Bulldogs will recognize the four graduating seniors prior to the match as well as honor the 1967 SoCon Championship team at a mid-match intermission.

Following 14th-ranked Odie Delaney's sixth career SoCon wrestler of the week award and first wrestler of month honor, the Bulldog senior will take to the mats for his final home conference dual.

Delaney captured his second consecutive All-Academy Championship title and third of his career last weekend, cruising past the competition with two pins and a decision. The three wins extended his winning streak to 10 matches and improved his record to 30-7 on the season.

The redshirt senior also moved into third place in Citadel history with 113 career wins and needs just five more to overtake second place (Travis Piccard '06) and 12 to etch his name at the top of the list (Sean Markey '06).

Along with Delaney, three other Bulldogs bring perfect conference dual marks to the mats on Sunday as Matt Frisch (5-0), eighth-ranked Ugi Khishignyam (4-0) and Aaron Hansen (5-0) look to remain unscathed.

The Citadel and Gardner-Webb have met in each of the previous seven seasons with the Bulldogs taking home the win in each of the contests. The Bulldogs used four pins, three by current seniors Delaney, Jordan Dix and Josh Tuck, to top the Runnin' Bulldogs, 36-10, last season.

Seniors Delaney, Dix, Tuck and Mike Harper will be recognized prior to the start of Sunday's match.

After the fifth bout, a mid-match intermission will be taken to honor the 1967 Southern Conference championship team. A banner commemorating that team will be unfurled in McAlister Field House on Saturday evening at The Citadel Brigadier Foundation auction.

"I look forward to honoring the 1967 team with a championship banner in McAlister Field House," said Coach Hjerling. "It is very exciting that members of that team will be in attendance on Sunday."
