Bulldog Wrestling Travels to Penn State for Nittany Lion Open

Charleston, S.C. - The Citadel Wrestling team returns from a two-week break Sunday as it travels to Penn State to take part in the annual Nittany Lion Open at PSU's Rec Hall beginning at 8:30 am.

The Open, which is not a team scored event, will feature hundreds of wrestlers from around the nation including, potentially, plenty of ranked wrestlers. Teams set to send wrestlers into action at the event include No. 5 Penn State, No. 8 Pittsburgh, No. 10 Lehigh, No. 13 Maryland, No. 14 Virginia Tech, No. 16 Rutgers, No. 19 Central Michigan, No. 20 Kent State, No. 23 Virginia and No. 25 Binghamton. 

LAST TIME OUT
Two weeks ago at the Navy Classic, top-seeded Kelby Smith captured the 197-pound title as The Citadel placed fourth at the 34th annual Classic at the United States Naval Academy. Jack Duane finished second in the 184-pound division, falling to top-seeded Luke Rebertus of Navy in the final, while Kyle Casaletto placed third at 133 pounds.
