Wrestling Fares Well at Hokie Open
Hokie Open Results
Salem, Va. – A pair of second-place finishes by junior Turtogtokh Luvsandorj and freshman Ugi Undrakhbayar highlighted a solid season-opening effort by The Citadel Wrestling squad at the Hokie Open hosted by Virginia Tech on Saturday.
Luvsandorj finshed 3-1 on the afternoon at 174 pounds, falling by a 3-0 decision in the finals to Te Edwards of Old Dominion. Undrakhbayar placed second at 141 pounds, going 4-1 and dropping a 7-4 decision to Evan Henderson of North Carolina. Other top finishers for the Bulldogs included Richard Alarcon (fifth place – 125 pounds), Josh Tuck (fifth place – 184 pounds) and Kelby Smith (fourth place – 197 pounds).

Unattached wrestlers' results do not count toward official season results, but do toward NCAA qualification and matches against non-college competitors (NRVWC for example) do not count for official season results nor toward NCAA qualification.
