Mebane, N.C. - The Citadel Bulldogs will travel to North Carolina this weekend to compete in the 13th annual Southern Conference Women's Golf Championship April 21-23 at Mills Creek Golf Club in Mebane, N.C. For the first time, the tournament will be hosted by Elon.

The Bulldogs last were on the links April 4 at the High Point Spring Invitational in High Point, N.C. This will be the final competition as Bulldogs for Bowsher, Hancock and Thorsen.

Furman is the defending team champion of the event, having finished first with a score of 904 as the host school in 2005. The Paladins have won the last two team and individual championships and have won the team title every year the tournament has been played except for 2003 when Western Carolina won the event. Furman has also had the individual champion in 10 of the 12 years the championship has been held.
