February 4, 2012 Miller, Emmrich Capture School Records at the Kent Taylor Invitational Junior Brunson Miller and freshman Savannah Emmrich etched their names in the Citadel record books on Saturday as Miller’s time of 21.95 in the 200 and Emmrich’s mark of 10’2” in the pole vault placed them atop the charts for their respective events. The Kent Taylor Invitational was held on the unbanked track at the Eddie Smith Field House on the campus of the University of North Carolina.

The meet will be the first for the men’s team this season, while the women are coming off a successful start to their indoor slate last weekend at the Captain’s Invitational.

The prestigious meet, in its 117th occurrence, is one of the world’s largest and oldest relay carnivals.

April 23, 2011 Miller Collects Second Consecutive SoCon Outdoor Title Sophomore Brunson Miller tallied his sixth Southern Conference title with a school-record breaking run in the 400m dash at the 2011 SoCon Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, April 23. The Citadel men’s team concluded the meet in fifth place with 48 points, while the women finished in ninth place with 20 points.
April 22, 2011 Harris Highlights Day One of 2011 SoCon Outdoor Championships Senior James Harris concluded his Bulldog career with a second place finish in the men’s high jump, highlighting The Citadel’s day one participation at the 2011 Southern Conference Track and Field Championships on Friday, April 22. Held at the Samford Track and Soccer Stadium, the men concluded the first day of competition in fifth place with 16 points, while the women are in 10th place with two points.

April 14, 2011 Bulldogs Set to Compete at Chanticleer Classic The Citadel Track and Field teams will compete in their final meet of the season prior to the Southern Conference Championships at the Chanticleer Classic on Friday, April 15. The meet was previously scheduled for Saturday; however, it was moved to Friday due to the impeding inclement weather in Conway on Saturday.

April 7, 2011 Bulldogs Place 13 Cadet-Student-Athletes on SoCon Academic All-Conference Team The Citadel placed 13 cadet-student-athletes on the 2010-11 winter season Southern Conference Academic All-Conference team announced on Thursday. A total of 191 student-athletes, representing all 12 Southern Conference institutions, were named to the team.
April 7, 2011 Bulldogs Set for Duke and Furman Invitational The Citadel Track and Field teams will travel to Durham, N.C., and Greenville, S.C., for the weekend as the Bulldogs will split up to compete at the Duke Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 8-9 and the Furman Invitational on Saturday, April 9.
April 3, 2011 Women’s Sprint Medley Relay Team Breaks School Record at Florida Relays Chalita Johnson, Francesca McCrary, Erinn Carter and Micah Wessinger established a new school record in the women’s sprint medley relay, as The Citadel track and field teams competed at the 67th Pepsi Florida Relays on Friday and Saturday, April 1-2 at the Percy Beard Track at James G. Pressly Stadium. The Florida Relays featured several collegiate teams such as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and Southeastern Conference (SEC), as well as club teams, such as Nike and Adidas, from various areas of the country.
March 31, 2011 Track and Field Travels to Gainesville for 67th Pepsi Florida Relays Bulldog Track and Field will journey south for the prestigious 67th Pepsi Florida Relays hosted by the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. The meet is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 1-2, at the Percy Beard Track at James G. Pressly Stadium.
March 28, 2011 Bulldogs Complete Weems Baskin Invitational The Citadel track and field teams concluded competition at the Weems Baskin Invitational this weekend, March 25-26 at the Weems Baskin Track Facility on the campus of the University of South Carolina. The Bulldogs finished the meet with five top-five finishes included two among the top-three.
March 24, 2011 Bulldogs to Compete in the Weems Baskin Invitational The Citadel Track and Field teams will travel to Columbia, S.C., to compete in the Weems Baskin Invitational on Friday and Saturday, March 25-26, hosted by the University of South Carolina and held at the Weems Baskin Track.
March 19, 2011 Bulldogs Successful After Two Days at the CCU/Shamrock Invitational Junior Wells Johnson paced the Bulldogs to a successful completion of the CCU/Shamrock Invitational as he was the first across the finish line in the men's 10,000m run. The Citadel concluded the three-day meet, held at the Doug Shaw Stadium at Myrtle Beach High School and hosted by Coastal Carolina and the City of Myrtle Beach, breaking several school and personal-best records.

March 17, 2011 Track and Field Travels to Shamrock Invitational The Bulldogs are set to begin competition at the CCU/Shamrock Invitational on Thursday in Conway, S.C., for track and field action. Hosted by Coastal Carolina University and the City of Myrtle Beach, the three-day event will run until Saturday evening at the Doug Shaw Stadium at Myrtle Beach High School.
March 12, 2011 Four Victories Pace Bulldogs at Palmetto Classic Bulldog Track and Field earned four first place finishes, as The Citadel, along with the College of Charleston and the Mount Pleasant Park and Recreation Department, concluded the Palmetto Classic on Friday, March 11 at the Park West Track Complex. The meet concluded with 22 records broken.
March 9, 2011 Bulldogs Set to Host the Palmetto Classic on Friday The Citadel Track and Field teams, along with the College of Charleston and the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department, are set to host the Palmetto Classic on Friday, March 11 at the Park West Track Complex in Mount Pleasant, S.C. The meet, which features 11 teams, will begin with field events at 1:30 p.m. with the women's hammer throw, followed by the men. The women will also lead off the steeplechase competition for the first track event at 3 p.m.
March 5, 2011 McKee and Love Lead Bulldogs at the Battle of the Beaches Freshmen Danielle McKee and Andriana Love won the 800m and shot put, respectively, as The Citadel Track and Field teams concluded the Battle of the Beaches on Saturday, March 5 in the outdoor season opener.
March 4, 2011 Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season at Battle of the Beaches The Citadel Track and Field teams will spring into outdoor competition at the Battle of the Beaches on Saturday, March 5 in Wilmington, N.C. In addition to the Bulldogs, the meet will feature east coast teams UNC Wilmington, Coastal Carolina University and Slipper Rock.
February 27, 2011 Miller, 4X400m Relay Claim Titles at the 2011 SoCon Indoor Track and Field Championships Sophomore Brunson Miller ran a 47.9 on the last leg of the 4X400m relay team to sprint for a come-from-behind victory to claim the 2011 Southern Conference Indoor title. The Citadel's men finished in fifth place overall with 49 points, while the women earned a ninth place finish with 13 points.
February 27, 2011 Harris Earns All-SoCon Honors on Day One of the 2011 SoCon Indoor Track and Field Championships James Harris capped off his senior year by capturing his first All-Southern honor of the indoor season, as he finished in second place in the high jump on day one of the 2011 Southern Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. Currently the men are in fifth place with 17 points, while the women sit in eighth place with five points.
February 25, 2011 Bulldogs Return to Clemson for SoCon Championships The Citadel Track and Field teams will return to Clemson, S.C., on Friday, Feb. 25 as they prepare for the Southern Conference Indoor Track and Field Champions set to begin on Saturday, Feb. 26 and conclude on Sunday, Feb. 27. For the sixth consecutive year, the championships will take place in the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex on the campus of Clemson University.
February 20, 2011 Freshmen Bulldogs Excel at Gamecock Invitational The Citadel Track and Field teams concluded their final competition of the indoor season prior to the Southern Conference Indoor Championships when they traveled to the Gamecock Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 19 hosted by the University of South Carolina.
