McCullohs, Jackson Lead Bulldogs to Second Place Finish at SEARC 5

Dahlonega, Ga. – Julia McCullohs and Robert Jackson each fired team-high marks of 569 to lead The Citadel rifle team to a second place finish at the fifth Southeastern Air Rifle Conference match of the season on Saturday.

In addition to McCullohs and Jackson, freshman Thor Wright (567) and William Wutzer (565) carded solid air rifle averages to round out the Bulldogs' top four and post a collective team mark of 2,270.

The score was enough to edge out North Georgia College and State University by 11 points, leaving The Citadel in second place in the conference standings behind NC State.

The Wolfpack took the team crown in the match with a score of 2,325.

NC State's Cliff Daniel fired the top individual score of the day with a 585, while teammates Bryan Cross (583) and Dani Foster (583) placed second and third, respectively.

The Citadel marksmen will welcome No. 7 Air Force, No. 12 Nevada and VMI next weekend in an NCAA match at the Inouye Marksmanship Center.
