Charleston, S.C. – Robert Jackson and Richard Hunton carded air rifle marks of 576 and 575, respectively, to help lead The Citadel rifle team to a first place finish in the third Southeastern Air Rifle Conference match of the season.
The Bulldogs posted a team score of 2,287 to narrowly edge out second place North Georgia by eight points. Jackson's team-leading score marks the fifth time in six matches that the sophomore has posted the team's top mark.
The Wright brothers, Franklin and Thor, carded marks of 568 and 562, respectively, while sophomore William Wutzer and senior captain Julia McCullohs both recorded a 568 to take fourth among their teammates.
North Georgia's Casadie Bragg took the individual crown with a score of 589.
The Bulldogs will be in action again on Dec. 1 in Spartanburg, S.C., for the fourth SEARC competition of the season.
