Bulldog Marksmen Set to Host No. 3 Kentucky and No. 15 NC State

Charleston, S.C. – After a week off, The Citadel rifle team will be back in action as its set to take on rifle powerhouse Kentucky and Southeastern Air Rifle Conference foe NC State on Saturday and Sunday in an NCAA open match.

The Bulldogs took second in both of their previous conference matches this season and collected an NCAA open match win against VMI to kick off the season.

Robert Jackson has been the leading Cadet marksmen for the Bulldogs as the sophomore has earned air rifle letters in three of the team's four matches this season. Jackson is coming off a conference match where he posted a career- and team-best 577.

Jackson has also emerged as the team's leader in small bore posting a career-best score of 564 his last time out. Nathaniel Moy and Richard Hunton have paced Jackson this season as the trio has scored in the top-4 for their team in each of the season's four matches.

Senior captain Julia McCullohs and teammate Terri Craig continue to be the one-two punch for the Bulldog women. McCullohs closed out the SEARC 2 competition with a 558, while Craig finished closely behind with a 553.
