The National Wild Turkey Federation Donates $20,000 to The Citadel Rifle Team
The National Wild Turkey Federation donated $20,000 to The Citadel rifle team’s endowment account through the MidwayUSA Foundation Inc.’s Scholastic Shooting Fund on Thursday. Donations are still being accepted and the MidwayUSA Foundation will give three dollars to the team for every dollar donated until July 1, 2012.

Donate to The Citadel Rifle Team Today!
The Scholastic Shooting Trust Fund will give three dollars to The Citadel rifle team for every dollar donated until July 1, 2012 and the Bulldog marksmen need your support. The money raised will go to the rifle team in a form of a grant that can be used to fund travel, uniforms, ammunition, entry fees, scholarships, range fees among other program needs. Grant funds may not be used to purchase firearms.

Eight Bulldog Marksmen Tabbed with NCAA All-Academic Awards
The Citadel rifle team capped off another successful season by racking up eight NCAA All-Academic awards from the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association during the NCAA Championships Banquet. To be eligible for the honor, athletes must earn at least a 3.2 grade point average and have one of the team’s five scores count towards the scoring of a match.

Jackson Cards a 571 to Lead Bulldogs at SEARC Championships
The Citadel rifle team fired a team score of 2271 to capture second place at the Southeastern Air Rifle Conference Championships on Saturday at the Inouye Marksmanship Center. N.C. State took home the team title, carding a score of 2304.

After a two-week hiatus, The Citadel rifle team will be back in action as it hosts the Southeastern Air Rifle Conference Championships on Saturday at the Inouye Marksmanship Center. The Bulldogs, who captured the 2011 championship in dramatic fashion over N.C. State, currently stand second in the conference behind the Wolfpack.

Bulldog Rifle Captures Second Place at SEARC 6/NCAA Sectional
The Citadel rifle team fired an air rifle score of 2263 to finish just 21 points behind N.C. State, at the sixth Southeastern Air Rifle Conference match of the season at the Inouye Marksmanship Center this past weekend. The Bulldogs also shot small bore as part of the NCAA Sectional, recording a score of 2206.

The Citadel rifle team will be back in action after a week off as it hosts its fifth consecutive match this weekend at the Inouye Marksmanship Center. The Bulldogs will fire air rifle as part of the sixth Southeastern Air Rifle Conference competition and will also record scores in air rifle and small bore as part of the NCAA Sectional.

Junior captain Julia McCullohs led all Bulldog shooters in Saturday’s match with an air rifle score of 568 en route to a second place finish at the fifth Southeastern Air Rifle Conference match of the season at Inouye Marksmanship Center on Saturday. The Cadets finished with a SEARC team total of 2,260, a mere 44 points behind first place N.C. State (2,304).

Freshman William Wutzer led all Bulldog shooters on Saturday with an air rifle mark of 562 at the first Southeastern Air Rifle Conference match of the season. The Bulldogs finished the competition in second place after a tiebreak shootout with North Georgia College and State University.
