Bulldogs Tennis Volunteers with Special Olympics
Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel men's tennis team ran a training camp for the athletes of the Special Olympics of South Carolina on Saturday at the Earle Tennis Center on The Citadel campus. The Fall Games are coming up in Greenville, S.C., the weekend of Oct. 19-21.
The vision of Special Olympics South Carolina is to be the leader in lifelong and unified sports programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities, empowering athletes to be valued members of their community and respected members of society.
The Bulldogs will take to the courts this upcoming weekend, Sept. 28-30, as they travel to the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn. The Baras Tennis Classic and the Steve Baras Memorial Endowment Fund provides financial assistance to young men and women who are seeking an education in the UTC School of Business and are members of the tennis teams.
