Orces Earns Second Win this Weekend in Bulldogs’ Loss to Davidson

Davidson, N.C.  – Junior David Orces earned the lone point for the Dogs against Southern Conference foe Davidson in a 6-1 loss. The Citadel tennis team fell to 4-10 overall and 0-4 in conference play while the Wildcats improved to 5-8 overall and 2-2 in the SoCon.

In the No. 1 position, Orces claimed his second singles win this weekend. The Bulldogs' top player defeated Joe Schafer in an exciting match that went to a tie-break set, 6-4, 4-6, 10-6. Orces claimed his seventh win on the season and extended his winning streak to four matches. In SoCon action, the Bulldog junior improved his record to 2-2.

The Citadel tennis team has a busy week ahead of them, taking on Samford on Wednesday, Chicago on Friday and Chattanooga on Saturday.
