The six-foot guard from Suffolk, Va., who guided his team to a 21-6 overall record and the Southeastern Division championship, marks the eighth signee in Driesell’s first recruiting class.

March 9, 2011 Men's Basketball Wells Named to NABC District 22 First Team The Citadel’s Cameron Wells was named to the 2011 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) District 22 First Team announced on Wednesday morning. The NABC Division I All-District teams recognize the nation’s best men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America. The 245 student-athletes, from 24 districts, are eligible for the State Farm Coaches’ Division I All-America teams, set to be announced on Saturday, April 2, at the NCAA Final Four.
March 6, 2011 Men's Basketball Wells Earns Second NetScouts Basketball SoCon Player of the Week Award The Citadel’s senior point guard Cameron Wells drew national recognition by earning his second NetScouts Basketball Southern Conference Player of the Week this season for games played through March 4. Wells finished with 19 points in the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament against Elon, wrapping up his record breaking career with 13 second half points. The Houston, Texas native hit 3-of-9 from the floor and converted 7-of-8 free throw attempts in the second half, however the Bulldogs were unable to overcome a double-digit deficit in the 85-74 loss. It is the second time this season that Netscouts Basketball has recognized Wells as SoCon Player of the Week, the other coming on Jan. 28.
March 4, 2011 Men's Basketball Senior Trio of Dahn, Urbanus and Wells Unable to Topple Elon Austin Dahn scored a team-high 20 points and along with Cameron Wells (19 points) and Zach Urbanus (18 points) an eight-member senior class put the finishing touches on their career in an 85-74 loss to Elon. Sophomore center Mike Groselle chimed in with 12 points and 12 rebounds, marking his eighth double-double of the season, in the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament at McKenzie Arena.
March 3, 2011 Men's Basketball Fifth Seeded Bulldogs Prepare for SoCon Tournament Battle with Elon The fifth seeded Citadel Basketball team opens the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament on Friday evening when it meets fifth seed Elon on Friday at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tenn. It marks just the second meeting between the two schools in the conference tournament, with the Phoenix getting the better of the Bulldogs by a 66-56 margin on March 3, 2004. The Citadel’s 72nd SoCon Tournament game in school history marks the first under head coach Chuck Driesell.
March 3, 2011 Men's Basketball Wells Tabbed First Team SoCon Media All-Conference The Citadel's Cameron Wells earned SoCon Media All-Conference First Team honors when the selections were announced on Thursday. The all-time scoring and assist leader in school history, Wells recently became the 20th player among current SoCon institutions to score at least 2,000 points in his collegiate career. He ranks among the top five in seven career categories including points (2,030), rebounds (647), field goals made (747), free throws made (447), assists (480), steals (187) and minutes played (4,422).
March 2, 2011 Men's Basketball Wells Earns Third SoCon Coaches All-Conference Team Honor The Citadel’s Cameron Wells garnered his third straight SoCon Coaches All-Conference selection when the 2010-11 Southern Conference men’s basketball postseason awards were announced on Wednesday, following a balloting of the league’s head coaches. The senior point guard leads the Dogs in eight team categories, including points (533), points per game (17.2), assists (133), defensive rebounds (138), free throws made (132), free throws attempted (160), field goals made (191) and steals (45).
February 26, 2011 Men's Basketball Wells Scores 21 Points in Tough Regular Season Finale against ASU Senior point guard Cameron Wells finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists, however it was not enough for The Citadel to hold off Appalachian State, who earned a 70-59 victory in the regular season finale. The combination of Austin Dahn (12 points) and Mike Groselle (10 points) were also offensive keys for the Cadets. The Bulldogs used their defense to frustrate Donald Sims, limiting the SoCon’s second leading scorer to seven points, but ASU capitalized on 25 points from Omar Carter.
February 25, 2011 Men's Basketball Bulldogs Complete Regular Season Slate at Appalachian State The Citadel Basketball team completes the 2010-11 regular season on Saturday afternoon when it tips against Appalachian State at 2 p.m. The Bulldogs, winners of three of their last four in the head-to-head series with the Mountaineers, look to complete the weekend sweep against a pair of teams from the Southern Conference North Division. The Dogs, who are locked in as the fifth team in the South Division heading into the conference tournament, are looking to gain momentum heading into Chattanooga next weekend. As for Appalachian State, who is coming off a 15-point victory against the College of Charleston, the Mountaineers will honor four seniors prior to the start of the game.
February 24, 2011 Men's Basketball The Citadel Completes 21-Point Comeback with 70-62 Victory The Citadel mounted a 21-point second half comeback to earn a 70-62 victory over Western Carolina at the Ramsey Center on Thursday night. The Cadets, behind double-digit performances by Cameron Wells (21 pts.), Mike Groselle (15 pts.) and Bryan Streeter (15 pts.), halted a seven-game WCU winning streak. Wells, who scored 17 points in the second half, was the catalyst to an offense that snapped the Catamounts 12-game home court winning streak. The Bulldogs hit a scorching 16-of-26 (61.5%) after the intermission, finishing with three of four halves of better than 60 percent shooting against Western Carolina this season. The Citadel picked up its third road victory of the season, improving to 10-20 overall and 6-11 in Southern Conference play.

February 20, 2011 Men's Basketball Groselle Notches Sixth Double-Double in Loss to Eagles The Citadel's Mike Groselle and Cameron Wells shared game-high honors with 17 points apiece, but Georgia Southern finished with three players in double figures in a 65-53 victory at Hanner Fieldhouse on Saturday evening. Groselle also posted a game-high 10 rebounds to finish with his sixth double-double of the season, becoming the seventh different Bulldog to reach that milestone since the 1974-75 season. February 18, 2011 Men's Basketball Dahn, Wells Finish with Solid Senior Night Performances Citadel seniors Austin Dahn and Cameron Wells combined for 35 points, however the College of Charleston emerged with an 85-63 victory over the Bulldogs at McAlister Field House to complete the regular season series. In front of 4,131 in attendance, the eight-member senior class was recognized prior to the start of the game for their efforts over the last four seasons. February 17, 2011 Men's Basketball The Citadel Hosts Senior Night on Thursday Against CofC The Citadel Basketball team makes its final appearance at McAlister Field House this season when it host College of Charleston for Senior Night on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. The 86th installment of the city rivalry will also be 'Blue Out' night, where fans are encouraged to wear blue in support of the Bulldogs. The eight-member senior class will be recognized for their contributions to the program over the last four years of their career. February 15, 2011 Men's Basketball Urbanus Climbs to 10th Among Bulldogs All-Time Scorers in Tough Loss Zach Urbanus scored a team-high 17 points and in the process moved to 10th place on The Citadel's all-time scoring list, however Savannah State earned its first victory in the series, 65-61 in overtime. Also reaching double figures for the Bulldogs was Mike Groselle, who finished with 15 points. It is the first overtime session for the Cadets since a meeting with Davidson on Jan. 30, 2010.

February 14, 2011 Men's Basketball The Citadel Prepares For Non-Conference Meeting with Savannah State The Citadel Basketball will play their final non-conference game of the 2010-11 season on Monday night when they welcome Savannah State to McAlister Field House at 7:05 p.m. It marks the eighth meeting in the series between the two schools, dating back to the 1988-89 season with the Bulldogs victorious in each of the first seven. Last season the Cadets emerged with a 54-47 win at Tiger Arena in just their third trip to the Savannah State campus.
February 13, 2011 Men's Basketball Wells Scores 24 in Second Half and Breaks All-Time Assist Record Senior point guard Cameron Wells broke The Citadel all-time assist record, dishing out 10 assists to go along with a game-high 24 points. Along the way he became the first player in school history to amass a double-double by virtue of points and assists. However, Elon took advantage of an 18-point lead at the half to hold onto the victory, 79-72, in Southern Conference action at McAlister Field House. Wells surpassed Kevin Hammack (2002-07), who finished his career with 457 assists, to become just the second all-time leading scorer in the SoCon to lead his school in assists, Western Carolina's Henry Logan being the other.

February 8, 2011 Men's Basketball Four Bulldogs Reach Double Figures in 86-70 loss at UNCG Mike Groselle scored 20 points to lead four Citadel players in double figures, but it was not enough as UNC Greensboro emerged with an 86-74 victory at the Greensboro Coliseum on Monday night. Teammates Zach Urbanus (16 points), Austin Dahn (15 points) and Cameron Wells (14 points) also reached double-digit scoring for the Bulldogs, however a first half that witnessed six Spartan 3-pointers proved to be too much to overcome.

The eight member senior class is currently tied for the eighth-most road victories of any Cadet class alongside classes from 1927-28, 1928-29, 1972-73 and most recently 2009-10. A victory at the Greensboro Coliseum would move the 2010-11 class into a tie with the 1929-30 senior class with 17 total.

January 23, 2011 Men's Basketball Seniors Wells and Dahn Integral in Bulldogs 68-46 Win Over WCU The Citadel Basketball team extended their winning streak to three consecutive games behind Cameron Wells' game-high 27 points in front of 2,143 in attendance at McAlister Field House. Fellow senior Austin Dahn also reached double figures, scoring 13 points, to become the third player on the current squad to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau. The backcourt tandem of Cameron Wells and Zach Urbanus, who netted 22 and 13 points respectively, finished with a combined 29 second half points to key the victory. January 16, 2011 Men's Basketball Citadel Readies For Eighth All-Time Meeting Against Samford The Citadel Basketball team will look to end their second three-game in six-day stretch on a positive note when the Bulldogs head to Samford for an 8 p.m. game on Monday evening. The Cadets are 4-1 against Samford since the first Southern Conference meeting on Jan. 26, 2009. The two schools split a pair of meetings, in 1992 and 1993, prior to Samford's conference membership. The two teams met on three occasions last season, including a 55-43 victory in the opening round of the 2010 Southern Conference Tournament. That win completed a three-game sweep of an opponent for the first time since 1960, when they defeated in-state rival Furman.

January 7, 2011 Men's Basketball Groselle Records Third Career Double-Double In Loss To Terriers The Citadel's Mike Groselle finished with his third career double-double (19 points, 16 rebounds), his second in as many games, but it was not enough to stave off five Wofford players in double figures as the Terriers emerged victorious 78-60. Groselle topped all scorers while the backcourt tandem of Cameron Wells (17 points) and Zach Urbanus (11 points) also reached double figures for the Bulldogs. The post presence of the Terriers Noah Dahlman, who finished with team-highs in points (15) and rebounds (nine), proved to be the difference as they improve to 6-8 overall.
January 5, 2011 Men's Basketball The Citadel Heads To Wofford Seeking First Win In Five Years The Citadel Basketball team will now turn its attention to the Southern Conference portion of schedule beginning with a pair of weekend contests at in-state foes Wofford and Furman. On Thursday, in a game slated to start at 7 p.m., the Bulldogs will look to end a six-game skid against the Terriers, dating back to a meeting in Spartanburg on Feb. 12, 2007. The Cadets hold a 45-43 edge between the two schools in an all-time series that began during the 1921 season. Wofford's current six-game winning streak is the third longest in the 88-game history, trailing a series of 11 straight by The Citadel that spanned from 1969 thru 1998. The Dogs also have a series of seven-game winning streaks that took place from 1921-25 and 1927-30.
January 3, 2011 Men's Basketball Citadel Backcourt Sparks Comeback, Tigers Prevail 69-54 The senior backcourt of Austin Dahn, Zach Urbanus and Cameron Wells scored 26 points in the second half, but critical points down the stretch allowed Clemson to emerge victorious 59-54 at Littlejohn Coliseum. Urbanus led all Citadel scorers with 17 points, including 14 in the second half, while Wells finished with 12. Teammate Mike Groselle notched his second double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Tigers have now won 13 straight games in the series with the Cadets dating back to the 1980-81 campaign.
January 1, 2011 Men's Basketball Senior Trio Leads Bulldogs to 67-53 Win Over Chowan Point guard Cameron Wells exploded for game-high 22 points and lead a trio of players in double figures as The Citadel emerged with a 67-53 victory over Chowan University at McAlister Field House on Friday afternoon. Wells was joined by fellow senior classmates Bryan Streeter (11 points) and Zach Urbanus (10 points) as the Bulldogs won their fourth game at home in front of 1,095 on-hand. Wells came through with 14 points after the intermission as the Cadets scored the most second half points (41) since a meeting with Western Carolina on Feb. 18, 2010.
January 1, 2011 Men's Basketball Bulldogs, Tigers Renew Hardwoods Rivalry after Six-Year Absence It has been six years since the last meeting between The Citadel and Clemson, but on Sunday afternoon the two South Carolina based institutions will meet for the 80th time in their longstanding rivalry that dates back to the 1915 season. The Tigers, winners of their last five straight games, welcome the Bulldogs to Littlejohn Coliseum for a game set to start at 4 p.m. Clemson holds a 56-23 edge in the all-time series and will serve as the host for the seventh straight meeting between the two schools.
December 30, 2010 Men's Basketball The Citadel Returns Home to Face Chowan on Friday The Citadel Basketball team returns to action on Friday when it welcomes Chowan College to McAlister Field House at 3 p.m. The game marks the first home contest for the Cadets since a Dec. 6 victory over St. Mary's College. The Bulldogs will look to remain perfect against the Hawks in a series that began in the 2003 season.
December 24, 2010 Men's Basketball Wells Moves Atop Scoring List in Loss to SIU Edwardsville Point guard Cameron Wells scored a team-high 14 points and in the process became The Citadel's all-time leading scorer, surpassing a 25-year-old mark set by Regan Truesdale, but it was not enough as SIU-Edwardsville emerged with the 59-55 victory at The Orleans Arena. The historic shot came when Wells, a senior from Houston, Texas, connected on a jumper from the top of the free throw line at the 15:54 mark of the second period. The Bulldogs complete the four-game swing at the IBN Las Vegas Classic and will face Chowan and Clemson in the final non-conference contests before opening Southern Conference play against Wofford on Jan. 6.
December 23, 2010 Men's Basketball Groselle?s First Double-Double Provides Punch for Bulldogs Win, 67-57 Sophomore center Mike Groselle recorded the second double-double of the season (19 points, 14 rebounds), as The Citadel won the opening game of the IBN Las Vegas Classic 67-57 over in-state foe South Carolina State. Along with the offensive support of Zach Urbanus (15 points) and Cameron Wells (14 points) the Cadets pick up their fourth win of the season. The Citadel will move into the afternoon session of the tournament for a 5:00 p.m. (EST) meeting with SIU-Edwardsville.
December 23, 2010 Men's Basketball The Citadel and SIU Edwardsville Meet For First Time in Program History The Citadel's victory over South Carolina State in the opening round of the IBN Las Vegas Classic, combined with a 78-71 victory by SIU-Edwardsville over Longwood will pit the two schools against each other for the first time in program history at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Game time is set for 5 p.m. EST. The Bulldogs will look to pick up their second straight win on the 11-day West Coast swing after suffering losses at Colorado and New Mexico.
December 22, 2010 Men's Basketball S.C. State and The Citadel Prepare To Do Battle in Las Vegas Classic The campuses of The Citadel and S.C. State are separated by just 74 miles, however the 11th all-time meeting between the two schools will take place inside The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas as part of the IBN Las Vegas Classic on Tuesday afternoon. The battle of the Bulldogs rekindles an in-state rivalry that dates back to the first meeting on Jan. 29, 1979, with The Citadel holding a 7-3 advantage in the series. The two-day tournament will pit The Citadel against SCSU at 5 p.m. on the first day and the winner of the SIU-Edwardsville and Longwood game on Thursday.
December 21, 2010 Men's Basketball Wells Nominated for 2011 Bob Cousy Award Citadel senior point guard Cameron Wells was one of 66 players nominated by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for the 2011 Bob Cousy Award. The annual award, named for Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic Bob Cousy, recognizes college basketball's top point guard. Wells, currently second on the Bulldogs all-time scoring list with 1,642 points, has dished out 391 career assists.
December 20, 2010 Men's Basketball Dahn Shines Against New Mexico Senior Austin Dahn rose to the occasion for The Citadel with a team-high 15 points, but it was not enough as New Mexico emerged victorious, 84-58, in front of 14,640 fans at The Pit. Dahn, who now has a 3-pointer in each of his last nine games, finished 4-of-8 from the field and 3-for-6 from beyond the arc. Teammate Mike Groselle finished with 14 points and grabbed a team-high five rebounds to join Dahn in double figures.
December 18, 2010 Men's Basketball Groselle Notches Career-High 22 points Against Big XII Colorado The Citadel's Mike Groselle scored a career-high 22 points to lead three players in double figures, but it was not enough as Colorado emerged with an 89-61 victory at Coors Event Center on Friday evening. Groselle's game-high marked the third straight game that the sophomore center has topped double figures in scoring. On the offensive end he was joined by teammates Cameron Wells and Austin Dahn, who finished with 11 and 10 points respectively.
December 18, 2010 Men's Basketball Citadel Road Trip Continues Against New Mexico The Citadel Basketball team will meet its second straight first time opponent when they take to the hardwoods against New Mexico on Sunday afternoon. The second game of the road trip, set to begin at 3 p.m. EST, will take place at The Pit, one of college basketball's most highly recognized arenas. The Bulldogs are looking to rebound from a Friday night loss to Colorado, despite an impressive 36-34 advantage in low post points due in large part to sophomore Mike Groselle. The Lobos are one of seven teams on The Citadel schedule that reached postseason play a season ago, falling in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to Washington.
December 16, 2010 Men's Basketball Bulldogs Set For First Meeting with Buffaloes On Friday night The Citadel Basketball team will compete against the University of Colorado for the first time in program history. It marks the second straight season that the Bulldogs, who are embarking on a four-game West Coast road swing, are meeting a Big XII Conference school following a game against Texas A&M on Dec. 19, 2009. The Citadel returns to action after an 11-day break for exams and looks to build on a victory over St. Mary's College (Md.) when they face the Buffaloes at 9:30 (EST) at the Coors Event and Conference Center.
December 7, 2010 Men's Basketball Bulldogs Cap Off Home Stretch with 72-64 Victory Over Seahawks Zach Urbanus scored a game-high 15 points to lead five players in double digits as The Citadel captured a 72-64 victory over St. Mary's College (Md.) to wrap up a three-game in six-day home stand. Cameron Wells (14 points), Austin Dahn (11 points), Bryan Streeter (11 points) and Mike Groselle (10 points) also reached double figures. As a team the Bulldogs converted 27-of-54 field goals, knocking down 5-of-13 from beyond the arc, to top the 50% mark for the first time this season.

December 6, 2010 Men's Basketball The Citadel Completes Three-Game Home Stretch Against St. Mary?s The Citadel Basketball team completes its three-game home stand to open the month of December when it hosts St. Mary's College (Md.) to McAlister Field House on Monday evening at 7:05 p.m. The game marks the second meeting of the two schools and first since 102-53 Bulldog victory on Dec. 19, 1995. The Seahawks, who compete in the NCAA Division III's Capital Athletic Conference, enter the game ranked 14th nationally by D3Hoops.com.
December 4, 2010 Men's Basketball Wildcats Down Bulldogs 68-53 in SoCon Action Sophomore center Mike Groselle netted a game-high 13 points to lead three Citadel players in double figures, but it was not enough to hold off Davidson, who left McAlister Field House with a 68-53 Southern Conference victory on Saturday afternoon. Groselle, one off a career-high in points, was joined in by the tandem of Zach Urbanus (12 points) and Austin Dahn (11 points). Jake Cohen pumped in a game-high 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Wildcats, followed JP Kuhlman (13 pts.) and Clint Mann (10 pts.) who also notched double-digit performances.
December 3, 2010 Men's Basketball Double-Double by Streeter Sparks Bulldogs to 65-52 Win Bryan Streeter notched his second career double-double, 13 points and 10 rebounds, to finish as one of four players to reach the double figure plateau as The Citadel emerged with a 65-52 victory over Georgia Southern in the Southern Conference opener for both squads. Streeter shared the team-high in points with Zach Urbanus and Austin Dahn, who scored 13 points apiece, while Cameron Wells chipped in 10 points and eight assists. The win improves the Bulldogs to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in SoCon action.
December 3, 2010 Men's Basketball Bulldogs and Wildcats Prepare for SoCon Tilt The Citadel Basketball team continues its three-game in six-day stretch on Saturday afternoon when it welcomes Davidson to McAlister Field House in Southern Conference game slated for 3:05 p.m. The battle marks the 135 all-time meeting between two original members of the SoCon. November 30, 2010 Men's Basketball Wells Named SoCon Player of the Week The Citadel's Cameron Wells was named Southern Conference Player of the Week for all games played November 23-29 the league office announced on Tuesday. Wells averaged 23.5 points per game last week, leading the Bulldogs to a 71-63 victory over High Point last week. It marks the third time in his career that Wells has received SoCon Player of the Week accolades, including the weeks of Feb. 17, 2009 and Jan. 18, 2010.
November 28, 2010 Men's Basketball Coastal Carolina Downs The Citadel 72-64 The Citadel's Cameron Wells 22 points led a host of players in double figures, but it was not enough as Coastal Carolina came back from five points down at the intermission to emerge with a 72-64 victory at Kimbel Arena on Saturday evening. Wells, along with Austin Dahn (18 points) and Bryan Streeter (10 points) reached double figures for a Bulldogs unit that converted 25-of-63 (39.7%) field goal attempts. The Cadets were successful on 7-of-21 (33.3%) from beyond the arc, led by Dahn who took sole possession of fourth place among the school's all-time 3-polnt shooters with a 4-for-10 outing. He now has 194 career treys to his credit, moving past Ryan Nesbit and Alan Puckett.
November 26, 2010 Men's Basketball Citadel Basketball Heads to Coastal Carolina The Citadel Basketball team is seeking its second straight win under the direction of Head Coach Chuck Driesell, when it returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 27 at Coastal Carolina. The ninth meeting between the two schools, in a series that is deadlocked at 4-4, is slated to start at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs, who emerged victorious in the last meeting that took place on Dec. 29, 2001, are looking to hand Chanticleers Head Coach Cliff Ellis his first loss against the school a series of nine games that span back to his collegiate playing days at Florida State.
November 24, 2010 Men's Basketball Driesell, Bulldogs Defeat High Point 71-63 Cameron Wells netted a game-high 25 points to lead The Citadel past High Point, 71-63, and helped Chuck Driesell grab his first NCAA Division I coaching victory in front of 1,224 in attendance at McAlister Field House. The senior point guard topped the 20-point mark for the 29th time in his career and in the process moved within 86 points of becoming the all-time scoring leader.

November 21, 2010 Men's Basketball Bulldogs Fall to James Madison in Home Opener, 74-67 Despite double digits from the senior trio of Austin Dahn (18 points), Cameron Wells (17 points) and Zach Urbanus (16 points) it was not enough to stave off James Madison, who left with a 74-67 victory in the season-opener at McAlister Field House. Dahn moved into 45th on the school's all-time scoring list with 841 points, while Urbanus became the 28th player to top the 1,000-point mark in Bulldog history. Wells, who hit 7-of-20 from the field, moved within 101 points of tying all-time leading scorer Regan Truesdale.

November 17, 2010 Men's Basketball Buccaneers Hold Off Bulldogs 68-61 The senior tandem of Cameron Wells and Austin Dahn, who combined for 34 points, was not enough to silence a sold out crowd at CSU Field House as the host Buccaneers emerged with a 68-61 victory. The Bulldogs converted 23-of-53 field goals (43.4%) and 12-of-17 (70.6%) free throws in their first visit to Charleston Southern since the 2005 season.
November 15, 2010 Men's Basketball Bulldogs Meet Buccaneers in Intracity Clash The Citadel Basketball team returns to action on Tuesday evening when they square off against intracity foe Charleston Southern at 7:30 p.m. at CSU Field House. It marks the 19th meeting between the two schools, in a rivalry that dates back to the 1992 season. The Buccaneers snapped a two-game losing streak in the series last season with a 61-60 victory at McAlister Field House, giving themselves a two-game cushion in the all-time series (10-8).
November 13, 2010 Men's Basketball Wells Slides Into Second Place Among Citadel Scorers in Loss Cameron Wells scored a team-high 17 points and in the process moved into second place on The Citadel's all-time scoring list, however it was short of a Richmond squad that emerged with the 79-37 win. In the season opener for both teams, Wells moved past Art Musselman with 1,514 career points, and now trails only the all-time record held by Regan Truesdale. The host Spiders, who recognized their 2010 NCAA Tournament team prior to the contest, were led in double figures by Justin Harper's 18 points.

October 28, 2010 Men's Basketball SoCon Coaches Pick Bulldogs Fourth In South Division The Citadel Basketball team was picked fourth in the Southern Conference coaches poll that was released on Thursday. The Bulldogs, who finished 16-16 last season, return eight seniors to a squad that advanced to the second round of the conference tournament for the first time in three years. Senior point guard Cameron Wells, who enters the season 164 points shy of the school's all-time scoring mark, was named to the 2010-11 Preseason All-Conference Team.

Driesell brings a high-octane offense that will certainly be a transition from the methodical Princeton offense that was utilized last season. August 10, 2010 Men's Basketball Wolfinger Inks Deal with Astrum Levice of Slovakian Extraliga League Former Citadel center Joe Wolfinger recently reached an agreement on his first professional contract with Astrum Levice of the Slovakian Extraliga League. The 7-foot center averaged 6.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest in his only season with the Bulldogs.
