Biography
2024: Served as a key contributor on the offensive line throughout the season, earning playing time in all 12 games for the Bulldogs...helped the veteran five-man corps to a SoCon-best 4.00 tackles-for-loss allowed per game...the unit also surrendered just 1.75 sacks per game, good for third within the league...on the ground, The Citadel closed out the season with the second-best rushing offense in the SoCon, averaging 175.1 yards per game...also assisted team in a strong third-down conversion percentage at .379, good for third in league.
2023: Saw time in two games...helped the team rush for 123.4 yards per game.
2022: Appeared in eight games…helped the team rush for 233.1 yards per game with 15 scores on the ground.
2021: Appeared in four games, earning the start against Samford…also saw action against Coastal Carolina, North Greenville and Mercer…helped team rush for 268.3 yards per game…aided team in running for 266 yards and a pair of scores against Samford.
2020-21: Did not see game action.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Tim McMahon at Emerald High School…two-time All-Region 3-AAA selection…named to the All-Lakelands Team as a senior…selected as the offensive player of the year…starter along the offensive line as a sophomore, helping the Vikings to the Region 2-AAA championship…also lettered in wrestling and track and field.
PERSONAL: Son of Duane and LaShonda Jones…father played basketball at Southern Wesleyan and professionally in Ireland…plans to major in business.
