Charleston, S.C. The Citadel fans around the country will have more than one opportunity this season to catch some Bulldog action in the comfort of their own homes as The Citadel will make a record of four television appearances this upcoming season.

 

The first appearance for the Bulldogs will come on Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. Central Time when they travel to take on the Badgers of Wisconsin in Madison. The noon Eastern Time kick-off will be televised on the Big Ten Network and will be the Bulldogs’ only Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A) opponent of the season.

 

The Citadel’s next appearance will be their only home televised game when they welcome the Wofford Terriers to Johnson Hagood Stadium on Oct. 6. The 2 p.m. kick-off is one of seven Southern Conference games that will be televised on SportsSouth this season. SportSouth reaches 8.8 million cable and satellite subscribers across a six-state region comprised of Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and regions of central and western North Carolina.

 

The Bulldogs will face Georgia Southern for the Eagles’ Homecoming on Oct. 27 at 12 p.m. on CSS, while wrapping up their television appearances in the “Military Classic of the South” for their last game of the season on Nov. 17. CSTV will broadcast this longtime rivalry at noon from Lexington, Va.

 

“We are excited about the exposure our program is receiving this season,” said Head Coach Kevin Higgins.  “This is another step forward as we continue our vision of creating an environment for success.  With four of our games televised and a total of six home games scheduled to be video and audio streamed through our website, fans all over the country will be able to enjoy Bulldog Football at home, while sharing the experience with thousands of others.”
