DOGS HOST UPSTATE IN MIDWEEK CLASH
After taking three of four games from Columbia last weekend, The Citadel welcomes Atlantic Sun member USC Upstate to Riley Park for a midweek clash on Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. The Bulldogs also meet Upstate in Spartanburg on May 8 to close out the season series with the Spartans.

SCOUTING USC UPSTATE
Upstate has opened the 2012 season on a tear, recording a 10-1 mark and riding an eight-game winning streak into Riley Park. The Spartans will be playing the fourth of five games in five days when they meet The Citadel, having defeated Valparaiso Monday afternoon by an 8-2 score. Tuesday's game marks the first contest away from home for Upstate.

LAST TIME OUT
The Citadel took three of four games last weekend from Ivy League-member Columbia. After taking the series opener 4-1 on Thursday, the Bulldogs won a 2-0 rain-shortened game on Saturday and split a doubleheader on Sunday.

UP NEXT
The Citadel opens SoCon action this weekend at Riley Park when they host Western Carolina for a three-game series beginning Friday at 6 p.m.
