Michelle Lomonaco, a 2003 graduate of Appalachian State University, is in her 10th year as a member of The Citadel Sports Medicine Department.
 
Lomonaco, who is a certified athletic trainer, oversees all long-term and surgical rehabilitation.  She is also responsible for overseeing the athletic training of all women’s athletic teams and is the primary sports medicine contact for the tennis team.
 
While at Appalachian State, Lomonaco worked as a student assistant in the Mountaineer training room and worked directly with the ASU football, women's soccer, softball, volleyball and tennis teams. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Exercise Science.
 
Lomonaco, a native of Sauquoit, N.Y., earned her master's degree in health, exercise and sports science from The Citadel in 2005.
