Kirkman Broadcasting Announces Network Affiliates

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Nine radio stations across South Carolina will comprise The Citadel Sports Network for the 2014 football season which begins Saturday at 6 p.m. against Coastal Carolina at Johnson Hagood Stadium.

WQNT 1450 AM in Charleston will serve as the flagship station for the network, which also includes affiliates in Columbia (WQXL 1470 AM and 95.9 FM), Florence/Darlington (WJMX 1400 AM), Greenville (WLFJ 660 AM and 92.9 FM), Orangeburg (WORG 100.3 FM) and Sumter (WDXY 1240 AM and 105.9 FM).

The 2014 campaign marks the 30th season that Kirkman Broadcasting will serve as the radio rights holder for Bulldog athletics. Kirkman will air all Citadel regular season and postseason football and basketball games as well as a selected number of baseball contests.

All football broadcasts begin two hours before kickoff with The Citadel Tailgate Show hosted by longtime Charleston radio personality Ted Byrne.

New play-by-play announcer Mike Legg and commentator Lee Glaze, a member of The Citadel's Athletic Hall of Fame, take over one hour before kickoff for game analysis, interviews and Mike Houston's pregame report.
