Cheer Coach Bios

Brittany Meyers enters her seventh season as Coach for The Citadel Cheerleaders.  After cheering for The Citadel Bulldogs in 1998-2001, while attending the College of Charleston, Coach Meyers transitioned from cheerleader to the first Head Coach of the all cadet squad in 2001.  Coach Meyers, along with Coach Edenfield, oversees all practice and game day material, scheduling and travel arrangements, as well as serving as a liaison for the squad.

Aside from her coaching duties, Coach Meyers serves as the Director of Annual Giving for The Citadel Foundation, and has been with the Foundation for eight years.

Graduating from the College of Charleston, Coach Meyers has a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Health Promotion.

Tracy Edenfield enters her fourth season as the Co-Coach of the Citadel Cheerleaders.  Coach Edenfield assists in the running of all practices throughout the year, the creation and teaching of new gameday material, as well as all administrative tasks, including making travel arrangements, ordering equipment and arranging practice and workout schedules. 

Aside from coaching cheerleading, Coach Edenfield also works full-time for the U.S. Department of Navy doing software analysis and testing.

Coach Edenfield earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston in 2001 and has a master’s in Business Administration from The Citadel’s Graduate College.
