Ryan Powell is in his third year as marketing coordinator at The Citadel. Powell assists with the  development, planning, coordinating and implementation of all marketing and promotional campaigns in the athletic department.

A 2007 graduate of Liberty, Powel came to The Citadel after serving as district marketing manager for Sodexo in New York. Before that, he was a unit marketing manager for Sodexo in Lynchburg, Va.

While at Liberty, Powell worked as the marketing assistant for two years and earned his master's degree in business administration. Prior to his marketing assistant position, he worked as a student communications assistant for three years. 

Immediately following his undergraduate degree, he worked as a football operations staff assistant with the Miami Dolphins and later as a marketing game day assistant with the Carolina Panthers. He has also spent time working as a website advertiser for Prototype Advertising.

Ryan and his wife, Tracey, were married in July 2011.
