Spike is the official mascot of The Citadel Department of Athletics.  Introduced in 1986, Spike’s likeness is one of the more recognizable symbols of The Military College of South Carolina as it appears on a myriad of merchandise.

While the more-than-six-feet tall muppet-like and fuzzy cheerleading character appears at many home athletic games and contests, his likeness is officially licensed and can be seen on many different items like caps, t-shirts, sweaters, pennants and the like.
