Charleston, S.C. - The Bulldog Golf team has traveled to Pinehurst, N.C. for the Pinehurst Challenge hosted by Southern Conference opponent the College of Charleston. The two-day event, to be held Monday and Tuesday, will be played on 18-holes each by 15 teams.
Also competing from the Southern Conference is Appalachian State and Western Carolina. SoCon opponents will be joined by members of the Big South, Charleston Southern, Radford and Winthrop. Also competing for the title are Creighton, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, Old Dominion, South Carolina State and Wichita State.
The Citadel looks to improve from last week's performance where they finished last in 18th place at the Palmetto Intercollegiate. This will be the last event for the Bulldogs of the fall season. The Cadets will return to action March 13-14 at the Low Country Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S.C. to open spring competition.
