Charleston, S.C. - Bulldog soccer player Kristine Devine was named to the third team of the 2009-10 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District women's soccer team for District 3, CoSIDA announced on Friday.

Devine was nominated and received this award for her academic performance in the classroom. To qualify for this award a student-athlete must be a starter, own a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games.

The Alpharetta, Ga. native is a defender for the Bulldogs who finished the 2009 season with one goal, one assist, three points and seven shots. Devine made her last run across WLI Field last Thursday as she will graduate from The Citadel in May 2010 with a degree in health and wellness.
