Today's Blue & White - August 27, 2010

Opening Kickoff! Classes began bright and early Wednesday morning and every Cadet is caught up - so far. Good news comes from the Southern Conference where 139 members of the Corps of Cadets earned Academic Honor Roll citations, and more good news came to the men's and women's rifle teams and women's outdoor track as those sports were recognized for achieving NCAA Division I Academic Progress (APR). Football enjoyed its version of "Meet the Bulldogs" this past Saturday afternoon while the volleyball team hosts their version on Wednesday. Our teams begin play today (Friday) as the soccer team hosts Jacksonville at WLI while the volleyball team plays at the Southern Illinois-Edwardsville Tournament. Those sports will continue play before the football opens their season next Saturday against Chowan University at Johnson Hagood Stadium with a 1 pm kickoff set. As expected, we have another jammed-packed issue of news and notes, so enjoy and Go Bulldogs!!!   (more)
